Real-estate tax will be paid in 2013 in Ukraine

In May, 24 Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine prolonged the moratorium on the imposition of the real-estate tax till January, 1 2013. It is related to the new real-estate tax conception suggested by the Government.

This news will not make real-estate owners very glad. As probably the new, much tough law will be adopted instead of the enough liberal one, currently in force. The same tendency is observed in a number of European countries. Adoption of the unreasonable law together with the rise of the prices for public utilities and the increase of tax burden on the income from rent can be a factor of pressure on the real-estate market.
